Pool Maintenance
- Pool filter pump should run a minimum of 8-10 hours per day during the swimming months and 6-8 hours per day during the non swimming months
- Brush pool for dirt as necessary. Brush entire pool a minimum of once a week
- Note: Filter pump should run during possible freezing temperatures to avoid damage to pool plumbing
Liquid Chlorine
- If water temperature is above 70 degrees, add 1 gallon of chlorine every other day
- If water temperature is below 70 degrees, add 1 gallon of chlorine twice a week
- Always add chemicals while pool equipment is running
- Never add any chemicals to spa
Liquid Swimming Pool Acid
- Check pool acid level prior to adding any chlorine
- Never add more than 1 quart of acid at any one time
- Always add chemicals while pool equipment is running
- Never add any chemicals to spa
Please purchase these prior to Start-up at your local pool supply store
- 8 Gallons of Liquid Chlorine
- 4 Gallons Muriatic Acid
- Largest bag you can find of Diatomaceous Earth
- Diatomaceous Earth Scoop
- 3” Chlorine Tablets - 1 large bucket (Only if you have an inline chlorine tablet feeder)
Filling Instruction Notes (Do not fill pool with soft/conditioned water)
- Please leave a hose out for the plasterers to fill the pool with, If possible use two hoses
- Wrap the end of the second hose with a cloth as the plasterers will have done with the first
- Begin filling the pool and spa no sooner than 2 hours after the plasterers have left
- Use low pressure initially. When the water has risen a foot or two you must increase the water pressure
- Once you begin filling the pool or spa, do not stop filling until water is approximately 1” onto the tile in the spa and 3” onto the tile in the pool
- Continue filling even if the plasterers have not installed the lights
- Do not let water from spa spill into the partially filled pool
- Do not get in pool or spa while they are filling
- Do not use the auto fill to fill pool. It will not be operable until start-up
- Do not attempt to run equipment or turn on pool/spa lights. They will not work until start-up
- All remaining clean-up will be done at start-up
